About Virgie Binford

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

Welcome to Virgie Binford Education Center! Virgie Binford Education Center is a State Operated Program located within the Richmond Juvenile Detention Home. We are a 60-bed facility that house 50 young men and 10 young women.

I have been the proud Principal here for 11 years. Here at VBEC we believe that students are greater than their current circumstances. We provide students with rigorous academics and character education.

I firmly believe in the power of education to transform lives and empower individuals to reach their fullest potential. I am committed to working collaboratively with our exceptional faculty, staff, parents, and students to ensure that Virgie Binford Education Center continues to be a place where every learner thrives.
